Offer description
Responsibilities of an Internal Stock Controller include :
– Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock
– Maintaining a steady flow of stock from storage to the relevant parties
– Placing and receiving of orders to replenish stocks as needed
– Track shipments and coordinating internal stock transfers as well as addressing any delays
– Organise and overseeing storage of stocks such as boxing, labelling and shelf allocation
– Coordinating stock control operations with warehouse staff as well as the sales and finance department
– Conducting regular inventory checks to ensure accuracy of inventory records
– Maintaining and updating daily shipment inventory records
– Reporting to Management timeously on any deviation of protocols
– Placing and following up on internal sales orders between the branch and head office
• Requirements :
– Proven work experience as a Stock Controller or in a similar role
– Good understanding of supply chain procedures
– Excellent attention to detail
– Active participation in inventory audits
– Excellent organization skills
– Good communication and negotiation abilities
– Qualification in Supply Chain Management or similar field
