To work as a security officer for 24/7 Security Services, you must meet certain requirements, including being registered with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) and having a clean criminal record.
Security officer requirements
Be registered with PSIRA
Have a Grade C security certificate
Have no criminal record or pending cases
Have a Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate (Vocational)
Have a valid driver’s license and own transportation
Management requirements
Have a Grade A PSIRA registration
Have at least two years of experience in security management
Have good communication skills
Have excellent people management skills
Be able to handle pressure
Be computer literate
Be able to work flexible hours
Be able to implement company procedures and best practices
Other requirements
Have a statement of results for Firearms training
Have previous experience as a Tactical or Reaction Officer or Armed Response Officer
